Is it possible to checkin online for an Air France flight from CDG to ATL? I made the reservation through Delta and have Delta flights on the outbound PHX-ATL-CDG and the ATL-PHX portion, but because of a schedule change, CDG-ATL is on Air France. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm just trying to plan ahead, because from what I've read, CDG is a zoo and the checkin lines can be horrendous.

I just flew CDG to ATL Sunday and while it was advertised that we could check in on line, we never managed to get the Air France web site to accept our check-in attempts. What was most annoying is that when we arrived at the airport long before our 1:30 p.m. flight, Air France had deleted our seating selection (which I made in March when I bought the tickets) and tossed us into the middle seats of the center row of 4 seats. A kind agent at the gate got us two seats two rows apart on the right side of the plane (the Airbus 330 has a 2-4-2 configuration) and we managed to get a late arriving passenger to switch with my wife so we could sit together.

I'd love to know if anyone else has managed to do a check-in on line with Air France!

In May, we could not check in from Paris to Toronto, but did from Canada to Paris. Last year in July, I had no trouble checking in either way. Go figure.

AF told me by phone call this past week that we must check in at the AF counter at CDG (we are only on AF this one segment).

Thanks for your responses. I plan on arriving early at CDG to checkin.

RandyK, that is my worst fear, that all four of us would would lose our seat assignments and instead be given middle seats in separate rows throughout the aircraft. Glad someone was kind enough to move so you and your wife could sit together.

I have never done it, and my understanding is that you can't do that for international flights. Actually, I didn't think you could do that for international flights, anywhere, so I am surprised Canada allowed it. Maybe I'm out of it, I didn't think you could in the US.

I've never had AF delete my seat reservation and I've flown them a lot.

Christina, we have checked in online and printed boarding passes at the hotel desk for Continental flights. Did this both departing US for Paris, and return from Paris. Went straight to security checkin (no checked bags) - it was great.

I have checked in online for Delta international without any problems..

(I have also had AirFrance "delete" my seat, but it worked out. I wound up getting an upgrade to Business Class)

" I didn't think you could in the US."

Of course you can. Most travellers out of the US on proper airlines like BA and Virgin check in online.
