You can get the addresses by looking up the names at www.google.com.

You can get distances from your hotel to anywhere (almost) in Florence at www.mappy.com. Change "express" to "pedestrian".

Pretty much so. The interesting parts are within about a one-mile square.

I don't have the address for La Giostra at hand, but we asked about it at a net cafe and the guy was nice enough to draw us a map.

It's tucked away on a tiny little street a few blocks behind the Duomo (if I remember correctly) and didn't have much signage so it was hard to find. However, I'm sure anyone in Florence will help you find it if you ask.

Giostro is on Borgo Pinti, a few blocks east of the Duomo. Once you are in Florence get a map, or a good guide book will have one.

I've been to Cibreo twice,never again.
The food is odd, not pleasantly unusual or adventurous, just odd imo.
Teeth were not required (though I do have them), everything seemed to be a terrine or a loaf or a ball or brains or something stuffed with something else.
If you do want to try it, they have a less-expensive caffe next door, same kitchen, limited menu, and I don't know if the caffe takes reservations.

Now I remember why I didn't want to go to Cibreo...the menu. If I were staying there longer I might have tried it, but not for a stay of four nights. However, if that type of menu appeals to you, maybe this would be the place.

I was just in Florence last month and had wonderful meals at La Giostra and Il Latini. Both had different atmospheres with Il Latini being more fun (a better overall dining experience for me) - and La Giostra being a more refined culinary experience of teh two.

Either choice, you won't go wrong!
