Oia hotel- advice on which to choose!
I have read and re-read threads on this forum and tripadvisor. Unfortunately, I am at the height of my indecision! We will be on Santorini for 3 days in July. There is room at the Volcano Villas in a suite and at Aspaki in the romeo and juliet suite both in Oia. Dana Villas in Firostefani also has space. We would like to be in a nice hotel, view and pool... Please comment so I can make a decision! Thank you so much, Tech

Aspaki doesn't have a pool. Dana Villas is a good choice because you will be far enough away from all the craziness of Fira but close enough to walk. Volcano's Villas has a great view and is very quiet. Ois is the most beautiful village.

Thank you so much for your response. It is very helpful! I do think we would prefer to stay in Oia. This is a special trip for us and we were hoping to sneak in a little luxury. However, it sounds like Volcano may be the best option. Although, Nokos Villas has just responded!

Another vote for Dana Villas. It's the only place I've stayed in Santorini so keep that in mind...but we LOVED Dana Villas. There are TONS of steps there though. There were several HUNDRED from the top room to the pool/restaurant. From the top sidewalk to the front office is 80 steps and from front office to pool is another 120...we know because we counted!
But it is that cascading over the hillside that made the hotel seem like the quintessential Santorini hotel.
As the previous poster stated it's close enough to Fira to be close to shopping/restaurants/donkey walk and yet far enough away to be very peaceful. You will most likely share your balcony w/ several other guests but the balconies are large and have divider screens in front of many of the rooms.

Oia is the most beautiful and timeless village and since you don't care much about the nightlife that's where I recommend you stay. There are some mellow bars for quiet socializing.
Sorry, I've never heard of Nokos villas. Where is it located?

Thank you again for your response. Nokos Villas was a typo! Sorry, I meant to write Nikos Villas. Anyway, in a moment of 'getting it done' I secured Dana Villas. We plan to spend a day exploring Oia and soaking in the beauty! Thank you again for all of your help.
