Oh no! Siena's Palazzo Ravizzi sold out -- any other recommended hotels???
My husband and I are planning a last minute trip to Tuscany and we'd like to spend one night in Siena, specifically, Sunday May 29. Unfortunately the much-lauded Palazzo Ravizzi is fully booked. Does anyone have another favorite Siena hotel? We will not have a car and want to be within the city walls, near the piazza campo. Thanks for your help!!!

Several friends have recommended the Hotel Duomo which is located just a bit down from the Palazzo Ravizza. It also has garden view rooms. (We stayed at the Palazzo Ravizza.) Good luck finding just the right place! Happy travels.

Albergo Bernini (www.albergobernini.com) comes highly recommended in Rick Steves guidebook, so it may also be booked. Try calling the PR the day before you arrive or early on the morning of the day you arrive to see if there have been any cancelations.

We stayed at the Duomo in 1999, so my information may be dated, but at that time we really liked it.
We asked for and got one of the rooms with a view of the Duomo. On our floor (the third, I think) there was a pretty rooftop terrace where we enjoyed a picnic lunch one day, and a glass of wine every evening looking over the rooftops.
The location is wonderful, just a short walk to the Campo and the Duomo, and all the great little shops.
Maybe somebody can give you more up-to-date information.

Just wanted to update this post. We stayed at the Hotel Chiusarelli, which is located across from the football stadium. It was fine: not luxurious by any means, but clean and quiet and the breakfast room is quite pretty. My only quibble is that the price was a bit high (130 euros/night) for a rather charmless room. Location is good -- a 10-15 minute walk from the piazza del campo.
