I don't know what happened? I put an inquiry in and is hasn't registered on the site for Switzerland! Did I do something wrong?

What do you mean? Did you try to book an actual hotel, or could you not find anything for Switzerland?

I recommend accessing OctopusTravel through the Ryanair site. For some reason I see cheaper quotes that way. Go to Ryanair.com and click on the Hotels link at the upper right. Then do a seach for the country Switzerland.

Thanks for the reply! I meant that I had written a whole message asking if anyone has used Octopus travel website, but the message never showed on this board. So the message you read was an inquiry as to why my other message didn't show.

STOP. Check other sites before Ryanair's, we found the same hotels on Easyjets octopus website, much cheaper that ryanairs octopus website.

I just went to Ryans air a while ago and it was more expensive than Octapus travel.com. I haven't checked easyjets site but I will and I'll let you know which is cheaper. I was wondering if anyone has used Octapus travel. Are they reputable? Has anyone ever had any problems with them?
I have always found the hotel specials to be the cheapest, but I usually make my reservations early.

I've also accessed OctopusTravel through the Priceline HK site at http://www.priceline.com.hk . I don't know why there are so many discrepancies among the prices depending on the site that accesses it, but it seems there are.

I used Octopus for a bit of research as I think they had 'honest' opinions of hotels, then when I had picked a hotel I did a search through Google and got a better price on another site, just a thought.

To SaraL- thanks for the info, I checked out easyjet.com but their prices are higher than octopustravel.com. I also checked travelocity, and orbitz, they had nothing overseas. Hotels.com, discounthotels.net, were more expensive than OT.How did you word your search? Maybe I'm not stating it correctly because I get a bunch of sites and they didn't have hotel room in Europe!
To WillTravel I tried priceline.com and again I couldn't get anything overseas. I appreciate everyone's help and thank you again.

When I had norrowed it down to a few hotels, I just went to Google and typed in something like Baltic Hotel Rome and this brought up many sites with this hotel on, most were sites you could book accomodation or reviews of the hotel, you would be very surprised at the price differences. Good Luck
