Not able to reserve overnight train tics from Barcelona to Andalucia!

Hi, I want to reserve ahead a first class sleeper frm Barcelona to any part of andalucia. But the official site does not take reservation for overnight trips. I don't want to arrive and buy tics. Too risky. I want to know ahead you know. Any suggestions? Call them? Other leads?

Hi I had a similar promblem last year buying train hotel tickets from Madrid to Paris. Finally, I called talked to the information and what I was able to do, was for them to hold me the tickets for 72 hs. precisely ( or may be it was 48 hs.) I bought them at Barajas Airport at a Renfe office.
No big deal but at least I flew knowing I had the tickets waiting for us.

May be I was not clear enough, what I did was to call the Renfe office from home in the US, precesily 72 hours before my arrival to Madrid. The system will hold the tickets 72 hours.

There's an all-Preferente all-sleeper (2-person compartments) overnight Talgo Barcelona - Sevilla that departs BCN at about 22:30 (arr. Sevilla 08:20). I don't know how much time you are planning to spend in Barcelona, but I bought my tix/reservation Thursday at the Renfe Office in Santander for Sunday night's Barcelona-Sevilla train.

As to whether they'll take reservations by phone: If they do, you have to be 'ticketed' a certain number of hours before departure.
BTW
That all-Preferente Talgo was quiet and comfortable.

Just a thought: Airfare BCN to Granada or Sevilla is 35E.

Actually you can catch a plane to Malaga via Spainair for 37E. It is a 2 hr direct flight vs 12 hour uncomfortable train ride!!!
