I'm also booked at the Britannique for mid May. I gather from my research that there are numerous restaurants around Piazza Amedeo, about 500 yards due east of the Britannique. There is a metro station at Piazza Amedeo, which goes to the Central Train Station to the east and to the Mergellina Train Station to the west (and beyond to Pozzuoli). About one kilometer due west of the hotel, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, there is a stop of the Ferrovia Cumana, which takes you to Pozzuoli, Lucrino, Baia, Fusaro and Torregaveta, all in the Phlegrean Fields. From the Mergellina Boat Dock (400 yards from the Mergellina Train Station), you can take a hydrofoil to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Positano and the Aeolian Islands. You could also walk from the hotel towards the Lungomare, although it will take a good 15 to 20 minutes. In view of your flight at 7:15 a.m., I suggest booking a taxi from the hotel the night before.
