Newark to London Airfare/August '02

I am trying to help a young woman get to London at the most reasonable fare. She is looking to go to London for 3 months - possibly to pick up some work before continuing home to South Arica appox. 3 months after London. Any cheap fares around?

Fly, I have tried all the travel sites but the cheapest one-way to London is $623. Trying to find some type of promotional fare.

Look for round trip fares which frequently are less expensive than one way fares. Ditch (don't use) the return ticket.
