Think: On July 4, we take time to ask God to Bless America. Just as you extend good wishes to a person on their birthday. You don't go around offering good wishes to everyone, everyday of the year. That's what special occasions are all about. Don't be so politically correct, the 90's are over.

H-A-P-P-Y B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y -- -- U-S-A-!

I was a litttle surprised a couple of weeks ago to see people bashing America because the president said "God bless America." Someone suggested why should God only bless the USA? Well just because an American prays for God to bless the USA, it does imply that he/she meant "God, please bless the USA and damn the whole rest of the world." When the Pope blesses someone, is he damning everyone else????

I decided to post this message here, because (a) I am in Europe, and you can easily find out where ; (b) many of the fellow fodorites that visit the european forum.
All I wanted to wish was (and is), that ALL Americans, wherever they were, could have a great holiday, and a great party on Independence Day.
I didn't want (and I don't) want to make any sort of discrimination, racial, political, religious or of any kind.
Honestly, I think that you (on the other side of the web) are like me. You are a Person, like me, not an European, or an American or Australian or African or Asian.
We are all equal. We all are Humans.

Let's all try just a little bit to make this world less bitter.
