My brother is backpacking through Europe and is somewhere in Interlaken, Switzerland. Our father died in a car accident this morning and I don't have anyway to contact him. DOes anyone know or can anyone suggest tips on finding them? They had been going to the tourist information booths in the train station upon arrival.<BR><BR>Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear your bad news.<BR>Can I suggest you contct someone in your local Rotary club and ask if they have a branch in Interlaken that can help?I'm not saying that I know that this is something that the rotary club does but I know that they are charitable and that they seem to give freely of their time and resources when they can.<BR>You may find that someone there will check the tourist information and find out where someone like your brother is likely to have been directed.<BR>Also try the International Hostelling body who may well post notices in their hostels for you.

Hotels and pensions and most likely hostels, too, collect information from everyone's passport which I believe goes to the police. I would think they might be able to track someone down. I wish you well.
