No visa, no shots for Switzerland, Italy, Germany or Austria. Diet Dr. Pepper MAY be found in larger city grocery stores, but you will pay dearly. BTW, you do know that Switzerland is horrendously expensive, so you must budget accordingly.

As long as you are an American citizen no visas for europe, no shots, the water is safe - everything is safe (europe overall is much safer than the US - not all those maniacs running around with guns in most places - except Switz where every adult male is part of the national guard - with annual training).

There are some things that are different. AndWsitz in particular, while gorgeous and I love it - is shockingly expensive. Soft drinks are tiny and expensive, wine and beer are cheap. Many people drink bottled water routinely (not for safety but for taste).

But don;t worry about the details. Look at some guide books and some tour brochures and figure out what your dream is. Each pick 3 places (not countries but cities). Then see if any match and how you can string 3 of them together in a rip that makes sense.

We can help you from there.

Thanks everyone!!!! I am not sure I will do the setting up of these plans since I really might screw it up - I think I will just give the info to someone to set up for me. Working 70 hrs. a week leaves me little time and I am scared to make arrangements that I have no clue how to make.....

I know this trip is expensive but this might be our first and last big trip, so we are trying to make the best of it...

Ya'll have been more help than I could have ever expected!!! I am feeling less stressed about it now!
