Need shopping recomendations in Paris?
I went to Paris last year and was a bit surprised that I couldn't find great shopping that readily. Please provide your best shopping (women's clothes) recommendations. I'm interested in everything from high end to bargain.

Thanks!!

Besides some of the famous places I like going to La Samaritaine. They have a great housewares section plus things for the home. Sometimes the most "mundane" things are the things I like the most.
Now that Chanel and Dior are everywhere in the States I would concentrate on lesser known boutiques. Although Chanel has some perfumes that are only sold in their Rue Cambon location. I would head down to rue Fabourg St Honore and also Ave Montaigne. Find things where they are special to you.

I happen to like Galeries Lafayette a lot, plus you get the 10% discount with their shopper's card. For great French style, go to Rue de Dragon for shoes, which then turns into Rue du Cherche Midi for clothes. I bought an outfit for a black tie affair at a fabulous little shop called Batiste on Rue Bonaporte. All these streets are in the sixth off Blvd. St. Germain. Rue St. Honore is where the expensive stores are, although there are some shops that are also more affordable, especially at the end near the Louvre. Happy hunting.

Hi I just got back from Paris. I am American and I found the clothes to be cut on the "small side". I weigh about 120 and had trouble fitting into many of the women's trousers. Some are cut for a person that is not as "hippy". I found that to be more true with the less expensive clothes. The nicer clothing lines seemed to be cut a little better. I am not overweight but it is as if the clothes are cut for teenagers! Anyway have fun. A lot of my favorite purchases were at Boutiques that I just came across.
Have a nice trip and a safe one as well.
