Need Hotel Advice

I will be going to Rome, Venice and Florence in May 2004. I will be traveling alone. Can anyone recommend a hotel or b&b for around 100 euros? Not sure what areas to stay in, but am looking for something close to the major attractions. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi Christimarie,

I'm sure you'll get many suggestions and here is a site I can recommend. www.sleepinitaly.com Be careful though about changing/canceling reservations as they will most likely keep your deposit, many places do this not just them.

I have gone to Italy alone and I used them because they had listings in all the cities that I was going to, so it was more a convenience for me to keep it all together and I would have one contact if something came up while I was there.

In Rome I think the central areas are Campo de' Fiori & Piazza Navona the Trastevere area is also close, just across the river and has become one of my favorite places. I'll be there in May too, yay us!

Be well, E

There seems to be a high level of confidence in the listings on www.eurocheapo.com also.

Best wishes,

In Rome we stayed at the Hotel Aberdeen, very convenient location and good price. As I recall it was e139 per night including breakfast. It's located near the Piazza Republicca not far from the Trevi Fountain.
