We're off to Italy. Thanks,all!
We leave for Italy on Wednesday, so this is probably the last chance I'll have to thank everyone for answering my questions and providing ideas and suggestions. I feel comfortable that I've done my homework; read all the guide books, searched past threads, made museum reservations, printed out train schedules, and picked the brains of all you knowledgeable Fodorites. Now, if I only had some control over the weather! [-o<
Thanks again - your help was invaluable!

Buon Viaggio Gina!!! You lucky girl!!I wished that I was going to Italy also. How many days you are going to stay in Manarola?
Dont forget to trow a coin for me at La Fontana Di Trevi and make a wish also...
Have a glass of Brunello for me and say hello to jandaO ..
Ciao and have a safe Journey,
Kismet

Thanks, Kismet and Elaine!
Kismet:
We'll be staying in Manarola for five nights, then on to Rome for two nights. I'm so excited about showing my sister and friends two of my favorite places!
I will most definitely enjoy a glass of Brunello for you, and will throw a coin in Trevi Fountain for your return to Roma, along with the coins for mine!
I'll also give your regards to JandaO when we meet on the 8th.

have a wonderful trip adrienne!!
Gina, thanks for trowing the coin in the fountain!, I will do the same the next time I go back to the Eternal City.
You are going to have a nice weather, normally is the best time also for me to travel, but because I always take one of my grandchildren to Europe with me,I go early in June. I dont mind, despite the weather and the crowds , also it will give them an opportunity to expand their minds and to know my beloved country.
Ciao again and Bon Voyage,
kismet

swalter518: Maybe with enough prayers, we'll get to see some sun AND some beautiful sunsets! Looks like a lot of us will be in Bella Italia during the next few weeks, so to all of you other travelers, have a great trip!
Kismet, I think it is so cool that you take your grandchildren to Europe. I'd like to do that, but the little ones aren't old enough yet and the oldest (14) has such a busy schedule with his travel hockey half of the year and his summer job on Mackinac Island. (I hate it when they get older and don't have as much time for grandma anymore - lol)
