Need help translating Auto Res Announcement
I encountered the following message while searching for schedules on www.auto-res.net website. Can anyone help by providing a translation? I keep clicking "Acepto" without really knowing what it means and it occurred to me I might want to find out what it says instead of obliviously clicking on through. Thanks!

Thanks Ira. That is a handy little website. Unfortunately, I'm still having a little trouble.
So now that I have the (very literal) translation, can someone tell me what this means in plain english?? It seems to pertain to the closure of something at the North Station. But I don't know what the M-30 or M-40 are or what a stop walk is.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR USERS
SUPRESION STOP WALK OF THE FLORIDA OF MADRID (north Station).
To the finalización of the works in the M-30, from September 11 of 2.006 remains suppressed the stop that itself authorization carrying out in the Walk of the Florida, being performed the entrance and the exit of Madrid by the M-40. We beg they excuse the inconveniences.

They are doing some work on the M30 (which is a highway) from 9/11/06 which has closed the bus stop at Paseo de Florida (the Estacion del Norte -- buses leave from there, I've taken one there to/from Segovia). Until the work is finished, something about the exit and entrance to/from Madrid and the M40 (I'm not sure of that usage, I think maybe it's switched to the M40 rather than M30 route). Please excuse us for the trouble. M40 and M30 are highways around Madrid.

Christina, Thank you for your help! That makes much more sense to me now.
Now that I understand what it means, I don't think the closures affect my travel plans. I am planning to visit Segovia on my upcoming trip, but instead of using Auto Res, I will take the La Sepulvedana bus from Paseo de la Florida to get from Madrid to Segovia, as recommended in Maribel's guides.

jjfern, the announcement says Paseo de la Florida bus station is closed...it doesn't mind if you take La Sepulvedana , the stop still is closed
Besides of it, both auto-res and la sepulvedana belong to the same transport group (avanza). Send an e-mail to La Sepulvedana and ask them because the works on the M-30 were due to finish this year and if I don't recall badly..they finished in May so maybe the website is outdated.

I guess that was a dumb assumption figuring that the bus stop would be closed for only one bus company instead of closed altogether.
Thanks for clearing that up for me Kenderina and Christina.
I'll have to look into how and where to catch a bus to Segovia from Madrid, unless anyone can offer any insight? (Should probably mention that I am not set on taking the bus and would be willing to take the train if that's easier - but my understanding was that bus departures were supposed to be more frequent.) So if anyone has details on the best way to get from Segovia to Madrid, I would appreciate your help.

Bus to segovia leaves from "El paseo de la Florida" very near the metro station, Principe Pio, there are buses every half and hour or 15' depending on hte hour of the day, it takes 1 hour and 15 ', the cost is 6,25 € one way. www.lasepulvedana.es , dificult web to use.
The advantage between train and bus is that bus drops you in the center of segovia while the train station is a bit far away, 2km.
You don´t really need a reservation as if a bus gets full they have to provide another one. In any case your worst option is to wait for 30minutes.
Metro station "Principe pio" used to be called "Estacion del Norte" so note that often locals will use this name.

car - great information, especially the tip about the name locals use for the Principe pio metro station. Also, I am glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has had trouble using that website. Thanks for your help.

The bus is better than the train. I don't know how the above info helps, as it details the exact bus that you can't take because the stop is closed, right? Maybe I'm missing something here, I haven't looked at the bus website.

I have looked at the La Sepulvedana website and did not find it helpful. There is no information on the status of Paseo de la Florida stop and schedules/route information seems to be unavailable. I did send an e-mail to the company and requested an update on the status of the Paseo de la Florida station. I suspect that Kenderina may be correct and that the message regarding the closure was just outdated, but I will let you know if I hear anything back on my inquiry.
If anyone has recently taken the bus to Segovia from Paseo de la Florida station in Madrid, please let us know.
