Need advice on hotels in Nancy, France

We are two older women who will be visiting Nancy in February and need a hotel close to the train station that offers twin beds with bath and, hopefully, an elevator, definitely heat, possibly parking (we might rent a car depending on the weather), breakfast and, I hope this is not just wishful thinking, at an affordable rate. If anyone has any suggestions, we would certainly love to hear from you. This is a trip to commemorate my father who died in France in WWII. Thank you.

We have stayed a few times at the Best Western Hotel Crystal and have always been satisfied. It's a modestly priced hotel, very close to the train station but still an easy walk to the gorgeous Place Stanislas. The hotel has a lift and the rooms are well-heated (we have stayed there in November and January, not problems with room temp). the beds are comfortable (at least to us)

Twin rooms are available. The least expensive rooms are small, so if you book this hotel, consider getting a superior room rather than a "comfort" room if you can afford it. Rates are about $120 per night (per room, not per person) for a twin-bedded room in the comfort category, rising to just under $200 per night for a twin-bedded superior room. I have no idea about on-site parking, but there is a parking lot close to the hotel.

We didn't take breakfast at the hotel -- there are plenty of cafes to choose from.

Hotels in Nancy aren't that expensive, it would be helpful if you said what you consider affordable.

You probably want to be in-between the train station and place Stanislas, more or less, for convenience (it is only a few blocks away).

I think your best bet might be the Best Western Crystal Nancy Centre. It has twins for around 94 euro in Feb. http://www.bestwestern-hotel-crystal.com/uk/index.php

If you need something less expensive, I'd probably recommend the Coeur de City Hotel Nancy Stanislas, right near the train station. It does have an elevator but isn't as nice as the BW, although it does have rooms with 2 beds. That should be around 75 euro. http://www.hotel-nancy-stanislas.com/en

If you prefer even cheaper, the Hotel de l'Academie is a good location for you and fairly basic, as you can see. It should have rooms for only around 50 euro, though. You would have to check if they have an elevator and they don't seem to have online booking. http://www.academie-hotel.com/

I have stayed in both the Ibis Styles slightly behind the station and also the normal Ibis directly across from the station. Both of them are nice as far as I am concerned.

I thought of those, but I think they are actually both more expensive than the Best Western, I checked. At least the STyles is, and I think the other one doesn't have twin beds?
