Any suggestions on hotels near the airport. We need a cab or shuttle for a 7am flight and would like to be close.

Believe me, you do not want to stay near the airport; it's in one of the dodgiest areas in Naples.

That early in the morning, it should not take more than 15 minutes from downtown Naples to the airport.

Your best bet is to ask your hotel to book a cab for you.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn near the airport and it wasn't so bad. I don't think you'll get their free shuttle service for a 7AM flight (this happened to us as well), but the taxi was fairly cheap and took 10 minutes to get there. We actually found a couple the day before who had an early flight and we split the cab the next morning. Good luck.

There is NO Holiday Inn near the Naples airport!!!!!

The Millennium Gold is about as close as you can get.

My husband stayed i nite at the Millenium Gold because we had to drop a rental car off the night before we had an early flight. The rental car lot is just across the street from the Hotel. We dropped the car off took the rental lot shuttle to the airport just to check the layout of the airport. Shutttled back to the lot walked across the street to the hotel. Next morning we did the opposite. The rental lot shuttle will take you right to the airport or else it would be about a 5 minute walk.

That's bull. You must be reading the hotel's advertising. It's a long trip.Maybe 2km as the crow flies, but much longer than what you say.

And the Centro Direzionale is in a part of Naples that one would be very, very wise to avoid...

The Holiday Inn is about 2.5km as the crow flies from the main airport terminal. Road distance is longer.

And Naples Center is under 5km from the airport terminal. Main train station 3km from the terminal. Both as the crow flies.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn; wasn't the best but it did only take 10 minutes to get to the airport via taxi at 5:30AM for a 7AM flight.
