Paris Hotels with Fireplaces
Do you know of fairly central Paris hotels with working fireplaces (wood or gas) in their public rooms such as some hotels, such as the Jolly in London, have? Traveling alone in the Christmas season could be immensely cheered by the presence of a pleasant lobby, a fireplace, beverage service, and congenial guests. ZZ

Try the Best Western Hotel Eiffel Park. Cute, small rooms. by bus #69 stop and around the corner from the best food street in the neighborhood. Cozy bar/salon with a fireplace and nice girls at the desk. Walk to Rodin museum and Effel Tower.

In the moderate price range, the du Cadran in the 7th makes a good winter nest because it has a lovely fireplace in its attractive lobby (and is also cozy and comfy). Nice on chilly evenings. Can Fodorites jump in with other pleasant hotels in the OP's general area with (working) fireplaces? I'm sure there must be several, but du Cadran's is the only I know of that really gets used in cold weather.

Relais Christine has one in the lobby (6eme).
I swear that my friend had a room in the Perierre Arc de Triomphe.. and she said they had a working fireplace.

Thank all of you for these good suggestions. I have booked a room at Hotel D'Aubusson and received a nice message from the reservations manager that, indeed, the fireplace is lit every afternoon to burn on into the evening. ZZ

We've stayed at the D'Aubbuson and the fireplace is indeed very cozy and in a lovely room. We met some lovely people and had some lively conversation in front of that fireplace! They also have a live piano/jazz at the bar. So overall, I think you made a good choice.
