"Must-Dos" in Vienna

What are some of the "must-dos" in Vienna, and what are some nice souvenirs to bring back home?

Schönbrunn, the Upper Belverdere, the Leopold collection, the Hofburg (particularly the treasury), the fine arts museum for its old Masters, the Hundertwasser museum, spending a few hours in a heurige, having a coffee and cake at Demels.

If you type in Vienna in the "Search this Forum" box you will get answers to this question, which has been asked many times on this section.

Hi,

I'm off to Vienna for the first time in June and I've been using this website as my main guide. It lists the "top ten" sights and provides other useful information:

For something completely different (and basically the only one I have ever heard of) is the Kaiser's Crypt under the Augustiner Church. Its the burial vault of the Habsburgs and contains all of the emperors and empresses. They are lying on the floor in coffins and crypts (but you cannot see the corpses). The funeral art is quite interesting and most importantly you can see the earthly remains of some very important historical figures including the Archduke Franz Ferdinand (who's assassination started W.W. I), the Empress Maria Therese, Francis II (largely responsible for defeating Napoleon), his daughter Marie-Louise who married Napoleon, and many others. It's not quite listening to singing boys or watching a bunch of ballerina horses, but nonetheless unforgettable.
