Munich to Rothenberg

We will be traveling by train leaving Munich and stopping in Rothenberg. ` I am not sure which route would be best. Please help.
It would be during the week.

Maybe you can elaborate a little? Maybe tell us you want "the shortest" or "the most scenic" route?

Not sure what you mean but eventually you end up in Steinach where you have to change for R-berg.

How? It's not like you really have a lot of choice. Neither the route through Augsburg nor the one through Ingolstadt have any advantages - take the connection that best suits your time planning.
