munich day trips
Is there any other bus line besides Gray line to take the day trip to Salzburg from Munich.
It seems Gray Lines schedule does not match mine. I want to go to Salzburg on
a Friday or a Sunday. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.

Trains run to Salzburg about every 20-30 minutes. If you can wait till after 9am the Bavaria Pass (27Euros) is good for roundtrip for up to 5 people. The round trip ticket for earlier is about $40 Euros per person.
Get a guidebook (Rick Steves is good) and read it on the train. Walk to the Altstadt (or take a cab) Visit the castle (take the fanicular) Mozart's birthplace, wander the Altstadt then train back to Munich. It is a small town and easy to enjoy a self guided day tour without sweating the tour-bus day trip.
