Missing Backpacker

My friend, Trevor Lind, is missing. He was last heard from by his mother 12 April 2012. He was in Paris, France at the time and told her that he was looking at an apartment. No one has heard from him since. He was supposed to return home to Canada a few days ago, but never boarded his return flight. He was calling his trip "Paix Randonee". Here is a link to a photo of Trevor:

Please let me know if you have seen him. Thanks!

My prayers are for his safe return.

Are you also posting on other travel boards, specifically thorntree where there are many backpackers and younger people.

OMG, I'm very sorry.
Has his mother contacted the police, hospitals and your Consulate in Paris?

His family and loved ones must be frantic with worry.

Did he leave any itinerary before he left? Thinking someone should post his picture to hotel or hostel that he might have stayed at. From Canada- does he speak French? With any sort of accent that one might remember him by?

Why was he apartment hunting? Did he have a job, school or girlfriend/lover taking him to France?

From the little we know he has an independent/adventurous spirit. Any chance that he was fed up with life in Canada and decided to not go home? Did he have any family, work or personal problems?

Did he send any emails or contact home during his stay?

Here's hoping for a safe return indeed.

Never mind facebook and twitter - has his family contacted the French police? If so - what was their response?

Don't know the rules there - but here - for an adult 24 hours later than expected is considered missing.
