Hi Zeppole,
I took 2 pairs of shorts (not super short like kids short pants) half pants I would say (bermuda pants). And I must say that was the second best thing I brought to Italy! If I wore skirt, i would of sweated between my legs and be very unconfortable walking all day but the shorts were perfect!
Me and my bf were spending all day looking at men(older) in red pants and red shoes LOL. We played a game earning points each time we find one... silly
but they look good in them! we saw the culture differences in fashion too!

I hope you had a great time. I always travel with my pretty slip-on sandals (aka flipflops), hard to get away from them if you live in a Hawaii. I used mine when I was going to and from yoga in London last week.

we will be in Italy in Sept-Oct, and plan to go to the opera at LaScala; I know that my husband will need a jacket and I, a dress, but what is appropriate footwear for evening? I do not wish to overpack. I plan on a pair of walking (Ecco or Rockport) shoes and walking sandals for day. Thank you.
