A women, 23, arrives in a foreign country alone for the first time... Can I get from Malpensa to the main train station in Milan using public transportation (and an Italian phrasebook) without too much confusion? Since I land at 10am, to stay awake and battle jetlag, the idea is to check my 2 small carry-on pieces at the train station and buy a ticket to Verona for later that evening. Then I plan to see the Last Supper (assuming reservations were made), see the Galleria Victor Emmanuel, and hop the train to Verona. Comments and critique are appreciated.

Piece of cake, trains from Malpensa to Cadorna station run every 1/2 hour for about 10 euros. Go to Slowtrav.com and they have lots of good train info.

Doesn't the train to Verona, though, leave from Centrale? So, store the bags there, perhaps.

From my research, I thought Centrale was the main train station. Do I misunderstand the my info sources? Do I have to swich trains at the Cadorna station to get there?

You can take a bus from Malpensa that goes directly to Milano Centrale, where you can store your luggage and return later for your Verona train..

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. You'll need to transfer to the subway at Codorna which will take you to Centrale
