Mid-October Como, Riviera--ok?

I'm helping a friend plan her first trip back to Europe since college. Idea is to fly into Milan approximately Oct. 15, spending 3 nights onLake Como, 2 on Italian Riviera (probably SML), then zip over to Provence spending 3 nights in Gordes, then down to Cassis for 2 nights and finally Nice for 3 before flying home on October 29. How much danger does she having some/any of these areas completely/partially shut down for the season? Thanks to anyone with info/opinions on this. JmVikmanis

My understanding is that many of the hotels around the Varenna/Menaggio/Bellagio area of Lake Como, if they do close, do so in November...a few stay open year 'round.

That will work--I like it.
Most of the places now extend thru all of Oct. I have just finished 2 plans for others doing the Lakes and coast in Oct.

Hotels, etc., are still open at Lake Como. And, it's a great time to be there. At least it was 3 years ago!

Thanks. Aside from the Riviera rain, mostof this sounds very reassuring.
