Meeting up at Terminal 2 in CDG

I searched and found a lot of posts about meeting up at CDG, but everyone seems to have a different situation. My sister and I are scheduled to arrive within a half hour of each other. I'm on Air France (ticketed by Delta) and she's on Continental. It looks like both arrive at terminal 2A. We're taking a shuttle to our hotel (see prior notes re knee surgery), so does it make sense to meet near the shuttle pick-up area? I wouldn't sweat this, but I remember meeting up at Heathrow years ago and expecting to be able to sit quietly and read a book while waiting, but there were so many people in the general arrival area I had to wait standing up for a long time, vigilantly looking for my sister among the throngs.

Whatever you decide to do, have a Plan B--like meeting at the hotel.

Tell her to meet you by a certain exit door. For example, our shuttle company told us to meet our driver at exit door #8 (or something like that), and it was very easy to find.

You could also plan to meet at the information desk nearest to the baggage-claim area. Be warned: there isn't much seating anywhere in Terminal 2A.

Few AF flights use 2A. What flight are you on?

And what hotel shuttle are you referring to? Is it an airport hotel you're staying? Or you mean a car service into Paris?

I met a friend there a couple of years ago and it was a piece of cake. As I recall, all flights go through the same customs area, so whoever arrives first should just wait outside customs. I don't remember it being crowded at all.
