Cat lovers unite!
Well unfortunately we lost two of our cats recently
but here are the rest:
Clara Schumann and her sister Chou Chou Debussy, both 15. tortoiseshell
Treble and Bass Clef, sisters age 7, grey tabby and Persian grey
Hercules, 6, the black and white alpha male with 7 toes on his paws.
Blackie, female, 2, stray and mother to the rest...
Bagheera, Elizabeth and Sheila, siblings age 1, they are missing their two sisters who escaped through a hole in the screen, and did not return, we think a hawk might have.....

Hi Tries, we have a wheaten also. Mickey is 2 1/2 years old, he is a wonderful friendly dog but hates to be left alone. He loves rolling around in the snow, we live in Calgary, and we findit hard to leave him when we travel overseas. Loved your photos.

This is so much fun!! I've enjoyed seeing all these pet pics, but I can't get Marilyn's video to download. Maybe I'll figure it out. It's so nice to finally see Scarlett's pup. I've heard so much about Pup and Yankee, now I can put one face with a name. I hope you liked the picuture of my baby, Misty, from my earlier post.

I would like to introduce my Pembroke Welsh Corgi-Bailey.He is a 5 year old black tri-colored "fluff" who was on his way from Canada to Kentucky many summers ago with his litter mates but had to be pulled off the flight in Chicago due to excessive heat that summer day. A local breeder(who volunteered to take care of the litter till they could continue their flight) knew that we were trying to replace our previous Corgi who we had put down with kidney problems. Because he was a fluff(recessive gene like a collie) he could not be showed and would be harder to sell. It was love at first sight!Wish I had a digital pic but my two college kids are the only ones with the digital cameras-I just buy them for other people......one of these days? His bio-loves bigger lady dogs and gets very upset if you do not acknowledge him when you meet him.

Introducing my cats Bob and Marley! They are both very lovable, and they enjoy pestering me while I am on the computer! Bob is white and orange. Marley is the calico. Here they are:

We are currently pup-less, but have two grandpups--Shelley, a yellow lab; Lolly Jo, who showed up in our son's yard with mother and five siblings; and Odie, a Big Black Dog (maybe some lab there).
Sadly, we lost our precious little Crawdad between Christmas and New Years. He was about 14, and actually chose my husband by jumping up and down in front of his car at a stoplight one morning.
We had him for going-on 13 years, and as a friend said,"That little dog hit the jackpot." And so did we.
We actually have a pretty little dog cemetery in the woods near our camphouse on the river, where all the dogs loved to rum and chase rabbits.
At last count there were 10 graves there--nine named dogs, and one Tomb of the Unknown Dog.

My cousin was in the Army and took his cat to Germany with him when they were stationed there. When the cat died, he knew he would be coming back to the US, so he had the little thing cremated, brought back the ashes to bury at "home"..
There is a house in NC( my childhood home) that has a few little graves lined up behind it. So touching..

Yes, you just have to take care of the little creatures that so enrich your life, even after they are gone.
My husband makes little cement markers for them, and we plant an azalea on every grave in the little cemetery.
We have said that we won't get another dog now, at least until we're too old to travel, but the house is just so empty without a dog!

Say hello to Angel, a black long haired kitty with enormous green eyes, and some interesting white patches on her neck and tummy. She appeared in my house two years ago, precisely two days after I put my beloved Siamese, Molokini, to sleep. Angel had been spayed but had no chip. No one claimed her. She appeared out of the blue, walked into the living room and jumped on the sofa. She's loving on her own terms. We understand each other. (Naturally, after Molokini went to kitty heaven we said: NO MORE CATS). Famous last words...

In the last two days, my dog Gypsy and kitten Micina have turned to a life of crime. They are in cahoots. Don't be fooled by those sweet innocent faces in the photos I linked to up above. For two days in a row I came home to find food that had been tucked far back on the kitchen counter was gone, and all that remained was the paper or other wrappings, chewed up and in bits all over the living room floor. My dog is not small. She's a smallish collie-German Shepherd type. But she's not tall enough to reach something pushed far back on the kitchen counter. By cat likes to eat, but unlike the dog, she will not eat just anything that has a smell, and blue cheese is just not her thing. So the two little criminals had to have been working together: cat jumps up and retrieves smelly cheese wrapped in paper, which I'd left out so if would lose the chill of the refrigerator, and dog quickly tears through the paper and eat it. I can't wait to learn what favor the dog will do for the kitten in return.

board? Like most of the posters and readers here, I come for the Europe TRAVEL information. I understand you are bored or lonely but please stick to the topic of EUROPE. everyone doesn't care to treat dogs like humans or introduce them as family members, Thank You
