Meet the pets?

It's cold and snowy and my bathroom is being remodeled and I've got time on my hands. So, I was thinking about the fact that over on Slow Travel many of the posters have introduced their pets and I wondered about doing the same here.

Without further ado, I'd like you to meet Murphy, our 2ish Wheaten Terrier. He never fails to put a smile on my face -- no matter what the weather holds.

Any one else want to introduce their pampered pets?

Funny you should start this post right now, Tries. We've just put up a video of the first playful interactions between our 7 year old male cat Romeo and our new little Lulu, a 6 month old female. It might take a few minutes to download, and be sure your sound is on.

Rufus Joe says "ruff" and my three cats (Smudge Bob, Bink, and Fuzzy) quickly give a muffled "meow" as Rufus chases them around the house!

I have a 13-year old Chihuahua on steroids (meaning a rather large Chihuahua) who snorts when he eats jalapenos.

My 10-year old Jack Russell Terrier, also known as "Digger Dog" or "Crash," likes to lay on his back and do the happy dance every morning when we get out of bed.

Wotan, our Bernese Mountain Dog, turned 11 yesterday. He is so spoiled, I've flown my parents here from Arizona countless times just to dogsit him while we travel. No kennels for him!

I would like to introduce my two fur-children, both feline, Milo (1.5 yrs old, 6 toes on each paw, black and white, and a terror) and Thomas (1 yr. old, orange tabby, sweetest cat ever, gets beat up by Milo on a regular basis, poor thing).

I have a 3 year old Golden Retriever named Gracie (hence my screen name, I admit it, I'm not that original when it comes to picking screen names!). I adopted her a year and a half ago from a local Golden Retriever rescue. She had a bad start to life, but is spoiled now! She is so sweet and trusting, it makes me sad to think of how she was treated before.

My other dog is also a Golden. Leo is 15 months old, and I am raising him for Southeastern Guide Dogs, a school for the blind in Tampa. His biggest thrill in life is pestering Gracie. He still thinks he is just a big puppy. I'm not sure I see him being a guide dog when he grows up, but you never know!

Grinisa: I have always wanted a Bernese Mountain Dog. They are so beautiful!

Oh Tries, that picture with the snow on his face is the cutest thing I've seen in awhile. We thought about getting a wheaten, but my girls had their hearts set on a little cockapoo. Her name is Daisy and she is a sweetheart.

How silly of me. I didn't even mention my pups names.

The Chihuahua is Boudreaux and the JRT is Bailey. I only have a photo of Bailey online. He likes to help us with clearing our property.

Boudreaux is getting too old and has heart problems, so he just sits in the shade and watches the rest of us work.

What a great thread!! Anyone who loves their pets so much is a friend of mine.

I don't know how to post a single photo, so I'll give you a link to all of my Swiss photos. The first one will be my husband and our baby dog, Misty. Of course, you are welcome to view the other photos of my trip to Switzerland last summer. You may click the image to expand.

This is great!

Marilyn -- your video is priceless. I loved the ending.

ms_go -- I can't get the link to work. Is it me?

tcreath -- ditto.

Grinisa -- we were going to get a Bernese -- after meeting and falling in love with one in Austria, but we opted for a somewhat smaller pooch. But they are so beautiful.

Statia -- Murphy being a terrier, I am very familiar with those action shots. Murphy just buries his head in the snow up to the shoulder if he thinks a rabbit has been by.

Every time we come home, Lola, our West Highland Terrier turns on her back to have her tummy rubbed. She's two years old next month and now I can't imagine why we waited so long since our last dog passed on. If she just wouldn't bark.

The dust bunnies are huge and hide behind/under the bed. No photos, they're shy. Since they multiply like rabbits, no names
