Medici Chapels Reservations?

I will be leaving for Florence in two weeks and have made reservations at Uffizi and Accademia. Do you think I also need them for Medici Chapels? I would prefer to be more flexible if possible.
Thanks for the help.

That may depend on how long you will be in Florence. If you will be there several days and there are long lines everywhere you go, your hotel can probably make them for you. We were there in May of this year, and didn't need reservations for any place - tourism was noticably off during our visit to Italy. We visited the Medici Chapels on a Saturday afternoon, and they were nearly empty. There was restoration work (scaffolding along one wall and articles removed for cleaning) in the Chapel of the Princes, but the New Sacristy (lots of Michealangelos) was alone worth the admission.

Ira and Rookie, are reservations necessary for the Uffizi and Accdemia in November? I'm going with my husband during American Thanksgiving, so I wasn't expecting long lines. What do you recommend?

Heidi - I don't know, but I suppose it never hurts to have them. Try posting that specific question to see what experiences others have had in November. I think you'll get more and better feedback than having your question hidden in a question about the Medici Chapels.

Even in September I've seen no evidence that reservations are needed for the Medici Chapels.
