uffizi in november, reservation necessary?

Going to Florence the first week in November and wondering if weekday reservations are still necessary. Could we wait till we get there and reserve a day or two in advance by phone?<BR>Thanks

ABSOLUTELY!!! Do not waste your time and wait in line for no reason. Find out the exact times of the Uffizi and reserve either online or have your hotel do it for you (but make sure you find out if they are going to charge you some outrageous fee to do so). Some evenings the Uffizi are open until 10:00pm so you could have a nice couple of early evening hours there. My recommendation as well is for you to visit the Galleria Palatina in the Pitti Palace. There are evening more sublime paintings the Medici owned -- all very famous. Along with the Uffizi, you will have seen the best paintings in Florence. Do not overlook the Galleria Palatina. You could visit the Galleria Palatina in the morning and the Uffizi late afternoon/early evening. This is just a pointer from me as I love art history. If you have time, try going to the Galleria Palatina in the morning and the staff will book your Uffizi reservation for that evening or next day (you won't have to wait in line like the Uffizi) and inquire about he Corridoio Vasariano so you may have the opportunity to see that too. Have a great time!

I was in Florence over the past weekend. The line for the Uffizi required 90 minutes waiting time.

You can probably wait until you get there.
