Has anyone stayed at this b and b? If so, what were your impressions?

If you google the name, you'll get a number of sites with opinions on them. We stayed at Lion D'Or last summer for a week in Bayeux and were very happy with it. we're not exactly the types who enjoy rustic (aka musty) type rooms so hotels have been our style over B/B's.

I did the Google search but did not find any "critiques" just some reservation services.

Unless Lion d' Or has done some renov. it did not have an elevator/lift when we were there...On the 3rd floor with a cane and bad knees.. Not what we had hoped..

Don;t know this manor house - and it looks charming - but it's not actually really that near Bayeux - and certainly not IN the town.

We've stayed in similar manors or castles several times - and they usually aren;t "hotels" in the meaning of the act - if you mean standard hotel services.
