Majestic Hotel , London

Anyone ever stay there? Any comments to share? So far have only heard negative remarks - is there anything positive here?

Don't you think the 5 most recent reviews on Trip Advisor, with such titles as "Absolutely Disgusting" and comments like 'dreadful, awful, horrible, dirty" are all you need to know? Even if someone here were to say something positive, would you believe it against the weight of evidence?

Well.... the Majestic doesn't have as many awful reviews as the Regents Palace Hotel. Is that a positive?

What is really discouraging is that a friend and I are looking into a budget trip to London for a week in November with Virgin Atlantic.
Except for the very first hotel on their vacation package listings, every one of the more reasonable hotels has had very bad reviews on Trip Advisor.
I really think that Trip Advisor gives good advice, especially if the majority of the reviews of a property are not favourable.
These are mostly adverage travelers trying to help other travelers.
Good luck.

Well, it looks like the most budget hotels used by VA - are not very good. Is this a surprise? If the hotels are budget and good they are probably booked up by previous guests. so the ones availble are not good. Perhaps you need to increase your budget. Or look beyond thosehotels offered by VA.

I think the best way to get the most out of your hotel dollar in London is to bid on a room on Priceline.com. We've had great success getting 4* hotels at 2* or 3* prices. Just be sure to do your homework first on www.biddingfortravel.com
