Madrid Hotel Recommendations Needed

I'm planning a trip to Spain this September and am in need of hotel recommendations in Madrid. Our fist pick Hotel Intur Palacio San Martin was booked.
Thanks for the help!

What is your price range? (sorry I don't know the hotel you mentioned).

We've only been once and were thrilled with Hotel Villa Real -- wonderful hotel with super rooms that have a separate step down sitting area with huge leather sofa. Great breakfasts, super location. We booked way ahead and got a great rate. We plan to return to Madrid next summer, and that will be my first choice.

I just returned from the Hotel Carlos V. I have stayed there twice in the last 6 months and liked it. The friends I took with me this month liked it too. www.hotelcarlosv.com

I want to give another vote for the Villa Real. Stayed there last summer and really liked it. I'll be staying there again this summer. They offer a very good rate in their website www.derbyhotels.es

Thanks for the feedback. Hotel Intur Palacio San Martin had availability via Orbitz. So I booked it.
Wierd that attempting to book directly via the hotel there was no availibilty.
