Sadly I've been far too busy here in London, and haven't had the time to pop over to Antwerp even for a weekend!
So busy in fact that I've no summer plans either! So this year's going to spontaneous, and ultra last minute.

m_k2- Sorry to hear that you've been too busy to take a vacation. I've always enjoyed reading your trip reports.
Anyway, I looked at Flamant's website. Not sure if I'll buy anything there, as home stuff usually takes up too much space in the luggage.
This reminds me of a table runner I had bought at TAD in Rome back in Nov 03. I moved a year ago, and to this date I have yet been able to locate the table runner!

yk; Flamant's stuff would be too big to pack! The stores are very nice though; the 'Flamant' style of decorating is very popular here in Belgium at the moment. I've heard that the new restaurant in the shop at the Lange Gasthuisstraat is very nice; haven't been yet.
For a quick casual meal while shopping, try Berlin, on the corner of Kammenstraat/Oudaan.

In case this thread comes up in a search, I wanted to report that I did go to Flamant and had lunch there. For details, here is a link to my trip report:
