Luxury Hotels in Dublin - help!

Looking for the most luxurious and decadent hotel in Dublin. Price is no option, and it doesn't have to be smack in the middle of Dublin. As long as it's beautiful, has a great staff and the suites are well appointed.

These are the hotels I have been looking at, but I'd love your opinions.

Merrion

Four Seasons

Westin

Westbury

Westbury has a great central location, very traditional style and wonderful service. Also our roon - didn't look at others - was very large for europe. We loved it - esp because we got it at half price.

Had a friend stay at the Merrion - and she liked it - but said her room was smallish.

We stayed at the Merrion in September,2004, and just loved it. We had a room in one of the original buildings, not in the new garden wing. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was all marble and huge. The location is very central and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The public rooms feel like you are in the parlors of aristocracy...understated elegance and very welcomming. We plan to go back some day soon.

Have not stayed at the other places mentioned, but the Merrion was excellent. Felt not like a hotel but more like visiting well off relatives, and the staff was superb.

The Merrion, for al the reasons Marthag stated. I stayed here a few weeks ago, and it is a beautiful hotel. I would ask to have a room in the main hotel though, as apposed to the garden wing. It also has a michelin starred restaurant and a spa and swimming pool, if this is of any interest to you.

The Clarence Hotel is where it's at. The place was a dump 10 years ago but then the members of U2 bought the place and turned it into a palace. I haven't stayed there, but I visited just to gawk.

What about the Four Seasons? It looks amazing and they have a great reputation. I was looking at Trip Advisor and the reviews are stellar.
