Lunda & Simone hotel in London or other suggestions

Has anyone stayed here? Leaving in 4 days and thanks to response about Ivy House from drsawyers are re-booking. We'd like Victoria area because I think it's most central for our plans. Has anyone got any suggestions - we'd like to be under 100 British Pounds - want our own bathroom facilities.

Hi!
I think you mean Luna and Simone...yes??
If so, YES, I have stayed here! It was a long time ago, 1995 I think. But it was perfect...inexpensive, safe neighborhood, good location. If I remember correctly it's only a short walk to the Tate Britain.

I stayed there several years ago. Luna&Simone is about the best you'll find in its price range (which is on the low end for central London). It is on a main street, more or less equidistant between Victoria Railway Station and the Pimlico Tube station.

I don't know if you'll be able to get a reservation though - I've often found it booked well in advance (but singles are usually harder to come by).

If L&S is full, try www.smoothhound.co.uk or other lodging search engines and you might find similar places along Belgrave Road for around the same price.

(Budget loding in London is always a hassle)

PS: 100GBP for how many people? That should buy a fairly decent double room, even en-suite.

PPS: Just a block or so north of Luna&Simone is a pretty good Turkish restaurant: Marmaris (or Marmaris Grill), I think it's called. Just a small, local place but I think the food is good. They have both dine-in and takeaway.

Thanks Meola. I found another deal on the Dover. Will ask for a response to that one too.
