Lord High Mayor’s Show vs Oxford

Is seeing the Lord High Mayor’s Show worth losing a full day in Oxford?

The Lord Mayor's Show is a parade -- less that 2 hour long.

This youtube gives a taste of what it is.
Do you like parades??

But you don't give us much to work with -- how much other time will you have in Oxford.

I knew it was a parade, but I wasn’t sure how spectacular. Thanks for the video. For some reason I never think to look for them. I have a full week set aside for Oxford and Bath. I could travel on the 14th after the parade, but it is still a day less for sightseeing in Oxford which I’ve not been to.

Never heard the Lord Mayor of London called the “Lord High Mayor” before. If you are interested in seeing the parade you may be able to watch it on television in Oxford, but it’s not a big thing over here. Personally, since the start of the Covid Pandemic I’ve tried to avoid large crowds.

Given the Lord Mayor's show is in November I guess it depends on how keen you are to stand in the cold and almost certainly the wet to watch it. I went once when I was a child. I wouldn't go again.

The LM's Show in November is likely to be chance to spread whatever variant is around then.
