Looking for nice hotel in Rome
My boyfriend and I will be in Europe for a month this summer, and we will be stopping over in Rome for 3 nights. We are looking for a nice hotel, with a good location, and ideally a balcony with a great view. Any suggestions?

Albergo Del Senato is a wonderful, small 4-star hotel that overlooks the Piazza della Rotunda and the Pantheon. The hotel is very well located for exploring much of Rome, and has gorgeous views from some of its rooms.

Wow, 300 Euros as part of a month-long trip - nice boyfriend.
You won't get a balcony, but the view from the window is stunning. In most rooms it seems like you could reach out and touch the Pantheon. You face a charming piazza and are easy walking distance to all of the major sites. What's the balcony for, anyway? Getting a sun tan?
A word of advice if Rome is just one part of a bigger Italian vacation - save your first trip to Venice for the man you plan on marrying. Better yet - wait until the honeymoon. And why only 3 nights in the eternal city as part of a month-long trip? Is this a vacation or is this the Amazing Race?

We will be in Germany for about 3 weeks, but we wanted to get a tast of Italy. It will be my 2nd trip to Italy, and his 1st. I've done Rome before, but I wanted him to get to see it while we were there. Last time I was there with family and had an apartment for a week.

I love visiting Italy more than any other European country, but why go all the way to Rome from Germany when great cities like Paris or Prague are so much closer? Especially if you've been there before? It's a long way to go for a short 3-night visit. Are you flying home direct from the Roman airport?
