My friend and I want a friendly English speaking driver for perhaps 2 days in St.Petersburg.Not official tours.
We would also like airport transfers from and to the airport.
All recommendations welcome

Do you just want someone to drive you from place to place or do you alo want the driver to be a guide - telling you where you are going and what you are seeing?

There are a gazillion perfectly good taxi drivers if you just want transit. For someone who will also serve as a guide the effort and cost will be completely different.

I would contact Alla Tours and tell her what what you want to see.

If you know what you want to see , then make up your list and tell Alla.

If you do not know what you want to see but rather have the driver /guide decide , then Alla has several "set" tours.

I guide can get you into the palaces and Fortresses and Churches .....or else you are on your own to get tickets.

As mentioned, a licensed guide can get you into museums, cathedrals, palaces, and also provide a tour within.

Olga will rent a car and serve as your tour guide as well.

I have THE best guy for you. He was recommended to me by another fodorite, we booked him for airport transfers and as a driver but he ended up being so much more ( think front of line at St Catherine's palace/ Hermitage.) He also suggested great restaurants and some interesting places to see... We all loved him and said he made our trip! His rates were very reasonable too...
