London to Amsterdam?

Does anyone know the best, least expensive way to get to Amsterdam from London? I would like to limit my travel time as much as possible, but cost is a concern.

Fly one of the discount airlines (I think Ryan Air flies from London to Amsterdam). It's a short flight.

Or try www.britishairways.com. It is currently 69 pounds plus all taxes from London to Amsterdam. It is also cheaper to get to Heathrow than to Luton to catch you flight.

I fly between Amsterdam and London a lot, and have found that there is no single airline flying this route that is consistently the cheapest.
So check all airlines:
www.easyjet.com
www.britishairways .com
www.flybmi.com
www.klm.com
For one-ways, Easyjet is normally the cheapest, but negatives are the long and expensive trip to Luton or Gatwick.
For returns, I have mostly found cheaper deals on BA, BD or KL. (all flying out of Heathrow)
Bus is the cheapest, but takes 10+ hours instead of a 45 minute flight.

Easyjet also flies from Gatwick - cheap, fast & easy to reach by Thameslink trains from London Bridge or Kings Cross.

Andre

CAN beat that! Easyjet often has one-ways for as low as US$ 20 or so, and I recently bought a return for less than US$ 80.

Easyjet, like many have said. Check out this web site:

http://www.travelfusion.com/

You can compare airlines with each other and other modes of transportation, and even compare flights with different times.

We went on Easyjet from Gatwick to Amsterdam for 20 pounds per person (less than $30) in March, including all taxes. I made the reservations about two months in advance.

We took the train to Kings Cross Station, then rolled our bags a short block to the Thames Link, and took the train to Gatwick. It was easy and SO cheap.
