Most are, some aren't. There are sooooo many rental agencies in London and most give you exactly what they claim. But like anywhere - some are not so good. Which agency(s) are you considering?

I've stayed 4 trips at Citadines properties - 3 times at their Holborn site and once at the Barbican.

Holborn is walking distance to Covent Garden and many other things worth seeing in London, 5 minutes from an open-all-hours Sainsbury's, and across the road from the tube and handy bus connections. Kitchen had everything we needed; there's even a CD player; we had a studio which sleeps two - the sofa makes into twin beds and was comfortable - lots of closet space, large bathroom.

Site is www.citadines.com

I'm not faniliar w/ Holiday Bound - but that doesn't mean anything one way or the other.

here are few more - all very good depending on your price range.

E&E Apartments http://eandeapartments.co.uk/ Moderately priced studio, 1 and 2 bedroom flats in Pimlico and Victoria. Near the Thames, Tate Britain, Chelsea and Victoria Station. Great value but most of their flats are not posh. One exception is a 3-bdrm penthouse which is beautiful - has two terraces and is an AMAZING bargain if you need that much space.

Hamlet (UK) Ltd. www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~hamlet_uk/
1 and 2 bedroom flats in St Katherine’s Dock next to the Tower of London. Some w/ a view of Tower Bridge. Good value - but the Tower is a bit out of the center so less convenient for going to the theatre, etc.

Scala House www.scala-house.co.uk An Apartment bldg with 2-bedroom flats near Tottenham Court Rd and Oxford Street. Not posh but nice and in a really convenient location near Oxford Street and the British Museum. Excellent service.

Price Apartments www.priceapts.co.uk Studios thru 4-bedroom flats in all price ranges throughout London.

We have made a booking for March through
www.deepblue-apartments.com

They have been very helpful with email enquiries and a friend in the UK has used them for corporate clients and recommended them.

We found some sites wanted a lot of money upfront to reserve an apartment but Deep Blue Apartments took just a small deposit.

Also, check out London Serviced Apartments
http://www.londonservicedapartments.co.uk/
I have mentioned them many a time on this forum. We've used them twice and were very happy with the flat and the person we dealt with. They have many flats in areas all over London in 3 different price ranges!

thanks so much for the replies
we found a place in Covent Garden for 1281gbp for 8 nites-probably as good as you can get for 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.(except for that penthouse!)
now, the only worry is getting to Gatwick on time for an 11:50 Sunday flight home.
