London Hotel and Stratford
If anyone has stayed at the Royal Eagle hotel in London I'd appreciate any comments. It seems like a good, moderate hotel but cannot find any write-ups on it. Also planning to go to Stratford after London and see Evening performance. Recommendation for reasonable family lodging would be much appreciated.

We enjoyed the Victoria Spa Lodge about a half-mile outside Stratford. It was a pleasant walk along the Avon Canal into the town, and we took a cab back after the play. The lodge is actually a B&B, with standard huge English breakfast, in a building that Victoria actually stayed in, before she was queen. We had a room with 3 or 4 beds, up on the top floor.
