Little town near Frankfurt

I've got about a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt. Looking for a neat town/village to go see via train on the layover. About a 20 minute train ride--give or take. Any ideas? Don't really want to stay in the city.

"20 minutes"--It would take you that long to get to the city center of Frankfurt. Its an old "centro" with cafes and shops--consider it.

Thanks. What about Steinbach? That's my maiden name, might be kind of cool to just go there? Can I take a cab?

Mainz is also a short S-bahn ride from the airport. It has a Romanesque cathedral, Gutenberg museum, church with Chagall stained glass windows, attractive old town center.

With the amount of time you need to save for getting back through security, it doesn't seem like you would be able to do much more than take the train to Frankfurt, look around, and go back to the airport.

We were in line for over 2 hours in Frankfurt last week; allow 3 hours for the airport!!!
The Romer area of downtown is an easy train ride and worth seeing. Happy travels!
