Lisbon rental for four people

Hello. Three of my friends and I will be visiting Lison in early October 2017. We are cosidering this rental
http://onhostportugal.com/en/propert...-river-duplex/

1. Is anyone familiar with it ?
2. Is the location a good one for convenience to public transportation and the major sites of interest?

Thank you.

We stayed in a more central location and the owners have several different sized properties. A friend and her family stayed in a different one than we did. We all were pleased with the properties.
www.visitingportugal.com. The owners are US ex-Pats.
It is hard to figure out how convenient the rental you list would be. Ours was right above Placas Restauradores and Rossio.

Looks great. The location is nicely halfway between the awesome Belém (make sure you look up all the riches it offers - see http://lisbon-portugal-guide.com/bel...ct-lisbon.html) and the Barrio Alto, and if you walk down you have the trams and buses running east-west, to Praça Figueira for example (Rossio Metro and Rossio train station, terminus for the bus up to the castelo etc.) and Cais do Sodré (major hub of buses, trams, trains to Cascais, and ferry boats).

Sorry cmcfong. I don't know what I was looking at. The apartment looks lovely. Nice views and walking distance to the river and restaurants. Lisbon is wonderful.

It looks lovely, and public transportation and taxis in Lisbon are good if you are planning a lot of sightseeing. If you want to be an area of nightlife, you might want to be closer into the more touristic center. There are lots of good apartment rental agencies in Lisbon. I like Rent4Days.

Looks like a very nice apt., but for me the location isn't great. Just my opinion, and you can see that others would disagree! You are neither in central Lisbon, nor in Belem/Cascais, etc., so you will be getting on a tram, bus or taxi every day. If it were me, I'd stay in a place in the actual downtown. Historic Lisbon is pretty compact and very walkable (though with a lot of hills). In this apt. you would not be close to a metro stop, and even though the metro system isn't extensive in Lisbon, it is convenient and gets you to major destinations.

Thank you for the feedback. We do like a lot of space and enough bedrooms and baths for four of us which does limit the inventory from which to choose. I will check the recommended rental agency to see what they offer. Please make any suggestions you feel might be useful in our search.

Is that the same apt. as the links below? (Because the photos look similar). If so, there are some positive reviews.

https://www.tripadvisor.com/Vacation..._Portugal.html

https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/6932081

If you want something more centrally located, you might try checking serviced apartment listings on Trip Advisor. Many will be listed under specialty lodging:
https://www.tripadvisor.co.nz/Hotels...al-Hotels.html

Hotels.com and Booking.com also list serviced apartments with guest reviews.

There's no such thing as bad locations in Lisbon, don't believe the hype. If you liked the place, don't hesitate!

Neither is the historical Lisbon that compact... there are lots of History everywhere.

For instance, you will be nearby an old royal beautiful garden.
