I'm not sure why Limo Service Rome would call you unless they have had a problem with people booking online and cancelling. I used them last summer and had excellent customer service. They even contacted me by e-mail right before we left to inform us of the heat wave. There are many women on this site that have used and recommend their services. Anyone else feel they were condescending?

I would think the airport information would be helpful since it's your first time to Rome.

That was a really strange experience. We received a prompt confirmation with email instructions on how to locate them. We arrived, the guy was there with our name on a board; very quick and efficient, great car, and even though it was on a Sunday, when they are supposed to add 20 percent extra (posted on the website), they didn't.

I'm still not sure why they called in the first place. I mean, there was just no reason for it, and everything would have been fine. Of course, having called, why you would be rude to your customers is absolutely beyond me. And as for offering airport tips, my wife and I have traveled the world for over twenty years. The appropriate thing to do would have been to ask if we needed tips, and when she said No, he should have said thanks, and we'll see you when you get here.

that's very weird. I've used them several times and never got a phone call. They do seem to send a lot of e-mail confirmations so perhaps they hadn't heard from you and wanted to reconfirm? Who knows. This just sounds very atypical.

ok folks, I don't know what's going on, but I just received a vile, disgusting response to my email canceling my reservation with Limoservices Rome. I won't post it here because of the language used, but it is absolutely unbelievable to me, that a service company would respond in this manner, and I intend to complain about them to both the Italian Tourist Board and the Italian Embassy. I'm happy to forward a complete copy of the email traffic to anyone who wants it. And if anyone knows how I can get in touch with the President of the company, I'd like that too. But this company should NEVER be recommended on this board again as far as I'm concerned.

Could you post the website or email address of the "Limo service Rome" you are complaining about. I have used them many time and so have several friends and this does not sound like them at all. The only person I've ever had dealings with was Andrea ..BOB just doesn't sound like someone who would work for them.

Another poster has finally pointed me to the problem. I have been dealing with LIMOSERVICES ROME, and the company people have been recommending is LIMOSERVICE ROME. I apologize for any confusion. In fact, I'm actually relieved, because now I can book the company I meant to book all along! But people should be aware that another Italian transfer company has the website with the "s" at the end to capture unsuspecting travelers looking to do business with Limoservice Rome. I still intend to complain to the Italian Embassy about the other company, too.

Askias..I was just about to post that I thought that might have been your problem. When I googled limo services rome..I found that other service and it even had BOB 's name in the description! Boy I'm glad you solved that one! I was really getting worried!

Askias - I'm glad you figured out it was a different company. I had known about the other company but had forgotten about it. I think you will be very happy with Limo Service (no S) Rome. You will love Rome! Have a great trip.

We just got back from Italy and flew into Rome for our trip. From suggestions I got off this board, I had booked Limo Service Rome prior to our trip. Have to say, I was very pleased. With the combination of a late flight and immigration, we were almost an hour late. But the driver for limoservicerome was still waiting right outside of baggage claim as they had told me in their email (they wait at least 1 hr 15 min). He had our name on a placard, verified my information (I had printed it out), and then led us to a Mercedes station wagon. The only shocker was that he didn't speak any English and my Italian is very limited. But - we made it to the hotel with no problems. 42 Euro for three of us and our bags (I tipped him a few Euro also).
Highly recommend this service.

Hi everyone,

Please forgive me if this has been stated somewhere else but the names of these limo services are quite similar and since we'are going there in a week I've beccome a bit paranoid. It seems that many of the posters appreciate the service of limoservicerome but my travel agent has booked us with Roma Limousine (www.romalimoservice.it). Has anyone had any experience with them? Good or bad.

Thanks

I have emailed Andrea for the last three days now and have not heard back. I did not put his name in the subject line. We will be needing the service sometime soon.

The website says to allow 72 hours but maybe someone has a phone number so you can call. Are you using [email protected]?

We took Roma Shuttle at 37 euros - just the driver and the two of us, airport to apartment door. We were sufficiently impressed to use the same service to get from apartment to the main station a fortnight later.

We just returned from Italy. Used Limo Service Rome for pick up at the airport and then return trip to airport from hotel. Very satisfied. The drivers were prompt (arriving 10 minutes early each way) and courteous. One spoke very little English but that was not a problem. 42 Euros each way. Would definitely recommend their services.
