Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg
Hi,
Does anyone know the easiest way to get from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg? I need to reach the lift there. I see there's a trail on my map...is this an easy walk? Short? Does anyone know about the tram between the two villages? I tried online, but the site was in German I believe. Thanks!!

Hi ScullyGirl,
I hope someone has given you the site for the Swiss trains -- it's at
www.rail.ch
You'll see that you can take a bus between the two!
Hope that's the info you wanted. If you want to see a map in English, I rely on google earth & google maps.
Have fun!

I just did this in April - it's a short bus ride from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg - will set you back all of about 3.50 CHF. You can catch the bus across the street from the railway tracks, right next to the train station - really easy.
You can also walk, but it's a bit of a haul, 7 km (4.4 miles) and takes about 1:45. I've walked it several times - it's a nice walk, mostly paved and completely level. You could always take the bus one way and walk back, unless you're planning to do the round trip and go back to Lauterbrunnen via train and cable car (via Grutschalp)
