Which bus to take from the Linz train station?
Hello. I am travelling by train to Linz . Can someone please tell me if there is a bus station at the train station, and which one I should take to reach the final destination at Öswag Werft, “Industriezeile”? I need to get to a ship docked there.
Thank you so much

I tried to look on the internet for bus info in Linz but unfortunately I can not find anything. I would need to know the exact bus number that would take me from the train station to Öswag Werft.
Thank you

Hi beachbomb,
Here is a link to a pdf of the bus lines in Linz:
http://www.linzag.at/cms/media/linza...linienplan.pdf
I did a search at google maps for Öswag Werft, and it looks like it lies in the far northeastern corner of the city, where the Danube bends.
It looks like the stop you want is the Schiffswerft on the light-green line #27.
Hope this is it!

Unless the info you got from the cruise company is very specific about a certain bus stop, I would spend a few euros on a taxi from the station.
The area of the Öswag wharf should be quite large, so you could end up dragging your luggage for a kilometer across an industrial zone until you reached the boat.
Otherwise go as swandav suggested with the #27 bus.

Hi again,
Glad it helped.
Because that bus #27 meanders all over town on its route, you may want to just take the S-Bahn lines 1 or 2 from the Bahnhof north to the Taubenmarkt stop and catch bus #27 at that point. That would probably save about 20 minutes or so. If you can handle your luggage easily, it would be a better way to go.

Hello swandav.Thank you for the alternative route,it is good to know I have other options as well. Considering I will have some time,I don't mind taking #27 and go the longer way. I have never been to Linz before and this would be a great opportunity to do some bus sight seeing.
