Latin Quarter or Marais
I have a few hours to kill before we leave for our flight to Venice. I'll be seeing the other areas the week that I'm there save for the Latin Quarter and the Marais. Which area should I see prior to my departure?

I agree with Nikki. If you are spending a week in Paris and not seeing either of these neighborhoods what are you going to be doing? As far as I am concerned these are the two BEST areas of Paris, not that the rest isn't great too. But I would really rethink my itinerary if you have planned out a week in Paris that doesn't include these two areas.

I find this kind of surprising, also, although not about the Marais so much. I can see how you'd be in Paris a week and not see the Marais, maybe. Most folks like to at least take in Place des Vosges, though, which is there.
As for the Latin Qtr -- maybe you just mean you won't be doing an in-depth visit to it during your week, but you've got to be at least on the edges of it, as you have to be around place St Michel if you visit Notre Dame. Well, I guess you could do that entirely from the Right Bank, but it would be odd.
I'd just do whatever is most convenient to your hotel before a flight.

Well the week is actually 6 days involving 2 days of transfers between 2 european cities. We are also leaving for 2 days to go to Lourdes and half a day to go to Versailles. That leaves me with an actual 3 1/2 days to see the Louvre, the area around the Eiffel Tower, St. Germain area where I'll staying in, Musee Orsay and Rodin, Sacre Couer and Notre Dame.

With such limited time, I would skip Sacre Coeur and Louvre, and add Latin Quarter to St Germain ramble...and Ile St Louis to Notre Dame. The area around Eiffel tower is OK, but you might find that 5th/6th will give you some of the same atmosphere (markets, cafe).
