April is the challenge here, as it would be if you planned a trip to NYC, as well. April showers bring May flowers. Some days can be very lovely, while other days can be pouring rain, and a lot of rain at that. Wind, too.

Weather is unpredictable. You might get lucky, you might not. I'll never forget the two-week trip I took to Tuscany in April. It rained every day for eight days in a row. I love photographing stormy skies, but if you have no purpose to be in the rain, it's best to find a place that offers art galleries, museums, churches, and/or indoor shopping. I've experienced plenty of storms in Italy where the rain and wind were so strong, the day's plans had to be cancelled, because no umbrella could endure the weather and my clothing would get soaking wet.

It's fairly easy to catch the C10 bus from the S. Giovanni train station in Como and get off in Moltrasio. The C10 is also easy to get from the Como Lago train station, which is where the bus station is, but you'll be further east by five minutes.

Taxi to Moltrasio is also easy from Como train stations. There are many signs with phone numbers to call. The ride might be 40€ these days. The last time I took a taxi from MXP to Como S. Giovanni to pick up a rental car, I managed to negotiate an 80€ fare with my driver. I would expect it to be more now. I don't enjoy the drive from MXP to the lake. I prefer to rent my car in Como.

Without a car in Moltrasio, there isn't a whole lot to see, depending on the plans. Two days will go by very fast, so it probably won't matter.
