A fine **** hotel, recently refurbished under new management. I find the area somewhat boring and inconvenient; not near a metro stop etc. A number of decent restaurants are close by; and if you are in the fashion business, the location can't be beat. The corner rooms are the best.

Boring area -- all offices and the sleazy Champs Elysées just a block away.

thanks for your feedback because i do not know this area of Paris. I have been twice but stayed at the Ritz both times. This time taking my teens & two rooms at Ritz is over the top. I didn't like the Champs very well either but i do recall nice shopping in that general vicinity.

can you suggest any other hotels? thank you!

How long are you planning on going to Paris for? If for at least a week I'd suggest checking out renting an apartment which would be a lot of fun with your two teens and the company that I used when I came to Paris to study had wonderful apartments located all over Paris with reasonable prices and that way you can find a great neighborhood. So if you're here for at least a week I'd suggest checking out the apartments-it's a much more comfortable and personalized way to see the city, plus you can specify your budget and location preferences.

Here's the website of the fantastic company I used and everyone I've talked to loves-Parisianhome.

Best of luck.

Your teenagers would prefer the 5th or 6th; there are a number of **** hotels near the Seine. As we are "of a certain age" these days, we prefer the 7th when not on a business visit. Only a few **** hotels however. Current favorite is Le Walt; just a few steps from metro, bus lines, taxi stand and some great restaurants.

Wow, that is certainly a bold statement for teens you have never met.

The main teen hangouts in Paris are in front of the Virgin Megastore flagship on the Champs Elysées, the Forum des Halles, Quatre Temps in La Défense, rue Oberkampf, rue de Lappe and Place de la Bastille, and the piazza Beaubourg.

Not a single one of those places is in the 5th or the 6th.
